Not Just Corns Anymore

Educating people about the snakes that are indigenous to Texas is a passion here at Crossbone Corns. We feel that if people understand the native wildlife, they are more likely to respect it. That respect makes nature safer for the animals and people involved.

Our shows can include venomous species upon request. While this sounds scary it is a very important part of the talk. This allows viewers to learn how to recognize venomous snakes they might encounter here in Texas.

Educational Shows

Texas Snake Educational Talks $100 per hour

This is best for multiple talks over a period of time. Each talk can be catered to a specific time frame (i.e 20 min intervals) These are great for educational talks and school events.

Reptile Information Talk - General Info about Texas Native Snakes and then catered to the age of the viewers.

Texas Snake Talk and Reptile Educational Encounters - $125 hour

Reptile Information Talk - General Info about Texas Native Snakes and then catered to the age of the viewers.

Reptile Meet and Greet - Chance to touch a few native and non native reptiles. (We also bring exotics for these shows so the viewers can get the experience of the BIG snakes too).

(Best suited for smaller groups looking to quickly touch a few replies)

Open Houses: $50 hour

There is no show. Rather we set up with the animals and everyone can visit with the animals at their leisure as we answer any questions about the animals.

This can be booked in addition to another package. It's $25 for an extra 15 minutes, $50 for an extra half hour, and $75 for each additional hour if added to another package.

Extra Time - We can stay longer after any show. Extra time can be spent doing "open house" (extra turns visiting with the animals), photo ops, or even dividing into smaller shows for large groups). We can do anything you'd like within the time. It's $50 for an extra half hour, and $75 for each additional hour. For shows over 4 hours, we offer flat rate discounts. The extra time can be added the day of the event as long as we don't have a prior conflict.

Deposit - A $50 deposit is required to book an event. The deposit is non-refundable. If an event must be cancelled due to weather we can hold deposit for a future booking. PayPal is accepted for deposits.

Cancellation - If a cancellation notice is not given at least 24 hours before the event, no deposit will be refunded.

Payment (Private Events) - Cash or Credit Card payment is due prior to the event start.

Shade/Heat - Especially in the summer, animals can overheat (and kids do, too); we always need a comfortable shady spot. We can also locate indoors. If it's over 100 degrees our animals will need to be kept in A/C and can be taken outside just during their part of the show. If the temp is below 65 we must be indoors.

Location/Travel - We can do the event at a place of your choosing. However, it is the responsibility of the person planning the event to verily that live reptiles are allowed at the location. It is always a good idea to check the City Animal Ordinances as well. Travel within 25 miles of 77449 is FREE. Travel up to 50 miles is $25, Travel up to 70 miles is $40, Travel excess of 70 miles, call for quote.
